Which SDR Are You?

Lazy Sales Reps is a myth

Sometimes we've got to laugh at ourself… and our SDR habits.

We made what is basically a National Geographic documentary, but for SDRs. Only this time, instead of rare animals, we’re spotting SDRs in their natural habitat - email threads, LinkedIn DMs, and endless Zoom calls.

And yes, we turned it into memes. Because nothing says “accurate career reflection” like seeing yourself in a meme.

1. The “I Can Fix Him” SDR

Finds a lead with no budget, no urgency, and a Gmail address… and still thinks, “I can make this work.”
Like a rom-com character who’s convinced the bad boy just needs the right person and it's her.

2. The “Everything’s a Buying Signal” SDR

They liked a LinkedIn post from 2019? HOT lead.
They opened one email? Send the proposal.

3. The Over-Enthusiastic Cold Caller

Cold-calls a candle seller on Etsy and launches into SOC 2 Type II. Not ICP, but the pitch is ready.
If enthusiasm closed deals, they’d have the “Quota Crusher” mug for life.

4. The Relentless Calendar Pusher

“Thursday at 2? No? Friday at 10? Monday at 11?”  Doesn’t matter what the prospect says, this meeting is happening ,in the SDR's mind.

5. The Pitch Slapper

You’re chatting about the weather, they’re breaking down your sales projections. The pitch is happening - resistance is futile.

6. The Spray and Pray SDR

You get an email. You get an email. Everyone gets an email. No one is safe from ths one.

7. The Undertaker SDR

The prospect ignores. You move on for three months. Then quarter-end panic hits  - and out goes #FollowUp37 like it was always part of the plan.

8. The Bumper SDR

“Just following up.” “Circling back.” “Bumping this to the top of your inbox.” The words change, but the déjà vu is real.

9. The Gift Card Gambit SDR

Business needs? Forget it. But here’s a $25 Starbucks card - let’s talk over a venti caramel macchiato instead.

10. The “Voice Note” SDR

Believes the fastest way to win you over is to bless you with their sweet voice - all 93 seconds of it.

Wrapping it up

If you spotted yourself in one of these, you’re not alone - we’ve all been there. The fun part is laughing at it. The smart part is moving past it.

Because while the memes are forever, the spray and pray phase doesn’t have to be.
Some SDRs work hard. The best ones work smart.

And if you ever need a wingman who knows the difference, there’s always Bugle. He’s not here to blast your TAM. He’s here to make every message count.
